When one thinks of the Bahamas, a vivid mental image of clear blue waters, white-sand beaches, calm ocean waves and the tropical sun shining across the water and beaches comes to mind. Earlier this year, the annual Passport to Success annual event was held in the Bahamas, not just to see these beautiful islands, but to do our part to bring awareness for a cause. Last year, the Bahamas were hit with a massive hurricane, Doris. The hurricane tore down the vicinity and affected thousands of livelihoods. As an initiative to help the Bahamas get back on their feet, we decided to hold our annual PTS 2020 in the scenic landscapes of its Caribbean waters. 
Passport To Success is the coming together of our GKhair community to envision the future and lay an action plan to get there. It is also about celebrating the milestones of the previous year and revisiting our initial vision together with our partners from around the globe. 2019 was an extremely eventful year, a feat that made the 2020 annual Passport To Success worthwhile. We also saw the coming together of industry experts to discuss the trends and forecasts in the year to come in addition to some very delightful announcements. 
Developed by the Italian Creative Director, Federico Longo, the bamboo technique is a brilliant blend of science and nature. The technique transforms hair from a natural state to a beautiful blend that is nothing short of perfection. Inspired by the principles of nature and the rules of science, the technique allows customization to the minutest detail with a natural blend in the fraction of the time required for a standard balayage service in the salon.
Loris Hug is a well-known artist in France with 25 years of experience, he is an award-winning hairdresser and has held the esteemed position of an ambassador at Schwarzkopf for 5 years; he has also authored 2 books and has been an editor for French magazines, Biblond and Coiffure de Paris. We are excited to have Loris on board as GKhair’s Artistic Director and we certainly see him bringing his bold and modern vision to the brand. While we fondly look back at the memories from the Passport To Success 2020 event, we also acknowledge the plight of the world in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. We stay positive and hope that we can bring together our community for another memorable annual summit in the future.
