Learn and Master the Color Melting Technique

GKhair educator Juanel Pacheco showcased his color skills on the trendy color melting technique. Color Melting is an evolution of the Ombre and Balayage. Color Melting is a technique that blends the highlights with the base color of the hair so you don't have any harsh lines.

The color melting technique can be done with any shade and tone of color. It has a darker tone on the top blending with a lighter tone at the bottom. Few hair stylists have mastered this technique and Juanel from GKhair is one of them. Let us see what is his technique and how does he bring about this amazing transformation. He created this transformation using the Juvexin Cream Color.

Step by Step Technique

  1. Divide Hair: Divide the client’s hair for color placement.

  2. Pre-lighten Hair: Isolate a section in front of your hair to lighten with Juvexin Lightening Cream + 20 Volume Developer + 10% Shield Additive+.

  3. Formula for Roots: Create a separate formula for the roots (top). Mix Juvexin Cream Color 6.4 + 20 Volume Developer and 10% Shield Additive+.

  4. Front Right Formula: A different color has to be given to the front right of your hair. Mix Juvexin Cream Color 7.4 + Copper Mixtone + 20 Volume Developer.

  5. Formula for Side Ends: The formula for the ends is supposed to be lighter. It is blended with the upper dark color. Mix Juvexin Cream Color 8.43 + Yellow Mixtone + 20 Volume Developer.

  6. Formula for Ends at the Back: Juvexin Cream Color 8.43 + 20 Volume Developer.

  7. Rinse the Pre-Lightened Area: After rinsing, apply Juvexin Cream Color 9.3 + a drop of copper Mixtone + 10 Volume Developer at the pre-lightened area.

  8. Process for 15 minutes.

  9. Wash hair with Juvexin Shampoo and Conditioner.

  10. Blow dry hair and style as desired.
