GK Hair produced its most recent video and photo shoot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The photo shoot was organized just a month after the hurricane Maria. This category 5 hurricane crossed the island on September 19, leaving Puerto Rico without power, running water and communication facilities. The inhabitants of this Caribbean island had to adapt to a new reality after the catastrophe. Every field of life suffered the consequences of the hurricane, so did beauty salons and hair experts. Due to lack of electricity, many beauty and hair salons were forced to close their doors. This unfortunate event, has even touched the GK Hair team based in San Juan, including the CEO, Van Tibolli.

The company has always worked for the welfare of the society and helped the needy in every possible way. The brand GK Hair, has a dedication towards the betterment of the industry regardless of any company. GK Hair keeps its promise of innovation in the hair and beauty industry. Consequently, GK Hair has chosen Puerto Rico as its new location to film their latest education portal videos. GK Hair views this venture as a way to impulse and boost the hair industry in the island once again.
This was an international production with a local flavor which included the participation of GK Hair Educators; Juanel Pacheco and Yansy Vega. Accordingly to Yansi, “the results were amazing even after hurricanes María and Irma left us working without power facing some limitations on set as we worked with generators. Despite all that we had a blissful time." For his part, Juanel Pacheco from Blondes Salon, which was the location for the video shoot, said it was very successful “Even without electricity" and as a result, "we were able to have a great day at the shoot”.

As a part of the day, GK Hair also conducted a photo shoot with Puerto Rican models that will be part of the brand's next images.
